From 24th to 26th June 2025, Musician and music educator Edwin Nathaniel, conducted a hands-on workshop on the Rhythm Interactive Special Needs Enabler, or R.I.S.E Music Programme, in partnership with International Music House (IMH), KAA and LSEG Foundation.

Sarawak’s first autism-friendly outdoor playground was officially launched on 5 June 2025. The playground, known as the Ausome Park, is located at Kuching South City Council (MBKS) Palmarium Park.

Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian, who officiated the launch, said that the park, the first of its kind in Sarawak, was more than just a therapeutic and engaging park for children with autism, but also an inclusive space where the community could learn more about autism.

In the days leading up to Teacher’s Day 2025, our students paid tribute to their educators in the most endearing way—through handmade crafts. With glue, paper, and a whole lot of love, they carefully crafted their own “Badge of Honour” to gift the Aut-some teachers who guide, support, and inspire them daily. More than just a handmade token, each badge stood as a symbol of gratitude and admiration—proof that even the smallest creations can carry the biggest meaning.

On 17 May 2025, our venue was graced not only by presence, but by the richness of tradition, shared joy, and meaningful moments.

We gathered to celebrate the hearts that guide us — teachers who shape minds, parents who nurture souls — and to rejoice in the rich heritage of Gawai and Raya, where unity meets tradition under one roof.

In May 2025, our little artists at KAA poured their love into creating beautiful paper flower pots in celebration of Mother’s Day! Each handmade craft was filled with heart, care, and creativity—an extra special gift to show appreciation for their beloved mothers. It was a sweet and meaningful session where art became a way to say, “Thank you, Mom.”

A big thank you to Sarawak Energy Berhad, along with the dedicated parents and teachers who came together on 3 May 2025 to revitalize our EIP gym and on 8 June 2024 to refurbish our EIP Interactive Play area. Your generous spirit and collective effort have transformed both learning spaces into a brighter, more welcoming environment where our children can flourish.

The Earth Breaking Ceremony for KAA’s New Vocational Training Building was officiated by YB Dato Sri Hjh Fatimah Abdullah, Minister for Women, Early Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development.

The New Building will have vocational training rooms, kitchens, art rooms, music rooms, computer rooms and job simulation training settings. There will be more training and employment opportunities for adults with autism, in the proposed Café, Bakery, Art Gallery, Shop, Laundrette and Car Wash.
