The Kuching Autistic Association (KAA) would like to extend its heartfelt appreciation to all sponsors, partners, participants, volunteers, and members of the public who have contributed to the success of the Meow Autism Run, which will be held on Sunday, 12th April 2026, at the MBKS Carpark.
As part of KAA’s ongoing efforts to raise awareness and funds for individuals on the autism spectrum, the Meow Autism Run aims to bring together the community in a meaningful show of unity, support, and compassion. Besides promoting a greater understanding of autism, this event also generates valuable funds for the continued support of KAA’s programmes and services.
About 2,500 runners have signed up currently, including more than 200 children and adults with autism. There are still slots available, with late registration remaining open until 10th March. There is a choice of 2 distances for this fun run – 3km and 5km. To add to the excitement, Jerry the Clown and Lala will also be in attendance.
This event also gathers various NGOs for other special needs besides Autism.
Minister of Women, Family, and Community Development of Malaysia, Yang Berhormat Dato’ Sri Hajah Nancy binti Haji Shukri, is expected to flag off the runners for this event.

The generous contribution of our sponsors plays a vital role in supporting KAA’s initiatives; which include early intervention programmes, educational support, therapy services, and community outreach activities for individuals with autism.
KAA needs to raise approximately RM1.2 million annually to cover the operating costs of running the KAA Autism Resource & Training Centre at Jalan Desa Wira, as well as providing subsidies for the students’ training.
KAA also extends its appreciation to all participants, volunteers, community partners, and supporters who have dedicated their time and energy in making this event a success. The enthusiasm and commitment shown by all sponsors and supporters has helped create a supportive and inclusive environment for individuals with autism as well as their families.
