The Autism Art Exhibition was held at The Spring, showcasing over 100 artworks produced by the creative talents of 15 student artists from KAA.

The Rhythm Interactive Special Needs Enabler (R.I.S.E) Music Programme was introduced at KAA, in partnership with Musician and Music Educator, Edwin Nathaniel, and International Music House (IMH) Sdn Bhd.

In line with the shift towards parent-driven training for children with autism, a seminar entitled “Tak Kenal Maka Tak Cinta”, was held for the first time. This seminar seeks to equip new parents   with behaviour shaping skills, and therapy techniques which can be used in the home setting.

The Earth Breaking Ceremony for KAA’s New Vocational Training Building was officiated by YB Dato Sri Hjh Fatimah Abdullah, Minister for Women, Early Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development.

The refurbished Autism Art Gallery was officially opened by YB Prof Dato Sri Dr Sim Kui Hian, Deputy Premier and Minister for Public Health, Housing and Local Government, Sarawak. The refurbishment was sponsored by The London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) Charity Foundation.

Sarawak Energy Berhad sponsored the vegetable garden plot, oyster mushroom project, mini hydrophonic vegetable project and potted plants nursery.

The Sarawak Government presented a Grant of Rm4.179million for KAA’s New Building. The cheque was presented by YB Dato Sri Hjh Fatimah Abdullah, Minister for Women, Early Childhood and Community Development, Sarawak

Kuching Autistic Association is 25 years old! We celebrated with a dinner cum students’ graduation ceremony.

KAA received the Sarawak Premier’s award (Anugerah Pertubuhan Cemerlang) for being an outstanding Special Needs Association.

The Sunshine Hub Sheltered Workshop started, with 9 adult employees.
