KAA plans to provide more training opportunities for teenagers and adults with autism, through the expansion of our current pre-vocational training and Sunshine Hub Sheltered Workshop activities.
To this end, KAA plans to construct a new three-storey building within the current premises. This new building will house a Sheltered Workshop, an Autism Art Gallery, a café, a shop, a self-service launderette, teaching rooms, a conference room, an open activity spaces for the autism community.
The estimated construction cost of the new building is RM5.679 million. KAA is very grateful to the Sarawak State Government, who has generously contributed RM4.179 million towards the construction of the new building.
We thank our past and present donors from the bottom of our hearts for the generous support and contributions towards KAA’s Building Fund. Through fund-raising projects and generous donations, we have raised the balance of funds for the construction of the new building. However, we still need to raise funds for the equipment costs and the annual operational costs of our new facilities.
We hope individuals and corporate bodies will continue to work hand in hand with KAA in providing financial support and in creating more job opportunities for the autism community. Together we can make a difference, as we embrace autism and transform lives.
